Description

An automotive component manufacturer requires a Toolmaker for the repair, maintenance and improvement to all tooling, jigs, fixtures and fittings. The ideal candidate will have considerable tool making experience ideally in the plastics industry.

Commutable from: Redditch, Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Kidderminster, Stourbridge

Rate: £19.28 per hour +21% Shift Allowance (£48,523.90 p.a.)

Working hours: 3 shift pattern - earlies, late shift and nights

Suitable for: Tooling Engineer, Tool Room Manager, Tool Room Leader, Toolmaker

The Role

Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will have the following duties:

-Repair, service and maintain injection mould tools.
-Attend breakdowns, identify the fault and problem solve at the press machine with minimal downtime.
-Support new project tooling from the commissioning stages through to the start of production.
-Record all relevant data in relation to tooling and record all onto the Tool Room database.

The Person

Educated to IVQ level you will have the following experience:

-Injection moulding tool making.
-Understand of lean manufacturing processes and 5S.
-Knowledge of measurement.
-Overhead crane licence up to 40 tonne.
