Are you seeking a challenging and fulfilling role in a crucial area of healthcare? We are currently seeking a Martuary Assistant to join leading healthcare establishment's mortuary team. You will play a crucial role in running a safe, secure, and effective mortuary and post-mortem service, ensuring that all deceased individuals are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in manual handling procedures and transfer deceased individuals across the hospital site.
• Input data into the Cerner computer system and maintain accurate records in the mortuary database.
• Prepare deceased individuals for formal identification and viewing by relatives.
• Dispose of clinical waste and maintain cleanliness in the mortuary and refrigeration areas.
• Work collaboratively as part of the team and participate in the on-call rota.

Requirements:

• Effective communication skills with colleagues and service users.
• Ability to work sensitively with bereaved relatives and respond empathetically to their needs.
• Proficiency in manual handling procedures and use of mortuary equipment.
• Knowledge of data input and record-keeping procedures.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations.
