About the Role

Based in Shrewsbury and Telford, My client are a well-established and growing accountancy practice and are looking to recruit an experienced Audit Client Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Audit Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated audit professional who enjoys managing client relationships, leading audit assignments, and developing junior staff.

You will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of audit clients, working closely with partners and acting as a key point of contact for clients across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities as Audit Client Manager:

· Managing a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery

· Ensuring all work is delivered in a timely, accurate and efficient matter, in line with Regulatory Auditing Standards.

· Planning, leading, and reviewing audit assignments from start to completion

· Acting as the main client contact throughout the audit process, attending meetings pre and post audit.

· Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of audit seniors and trainees

· Liaising with partners on technical matters, deadlines, and client needs

· Identifying opportunities to add value and support business development

· Ensuring compliance with auditing standards, ethical requirements, and internal procedures

· Delivering assigned KPI’s as set and agreed with the Audit Manager

About the Candidate

· Must be ACA or ACCA qualified

· Minimum of three year’s experience, in a similar role

· Strong audit background within an accountancy practice

· Experience managing and demonstrated capability in delivering audit assignments and client relationships, with minimum three years in a similar role

· Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner

· Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively

· Takes ownership of their training and development needs

· Experience supervising and developing junior team members
