Housing Officer

Stoke on Trent

Role and key responsibilities for Housing Officer

  • Visiting tenants in their own homes
  • Receiving and investigating complaints and incidents of Anti Social Behaviour or other tenancy condition breaches
  • Completing fire safety audits
  • attending meetings, case conferences, working parties, court hearings, tenancy review hearings and evictions as directed
  • Supporting tenants with vulnerabilities
  • Attending child protection conferences
  • Recovery of rent arrears and maximisation of rental and other income for all council services

Minimum Requirements for Housing Officer

  • Previous experience required
  • Previous experience using NEC database (advantageous)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Possess detailed knowledge and understanding of Housing Management
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to deal with stressful and emotional situations

Pay rate: £16.26 - £17.51 per hour

Working hours:
Full time:
Monday - Friday
09:00 - 17:00

Part time: 18 hours per week between
Monday - Friday
09:00 - 17:00
