HGV Fitters - Days and Nights
Location - Stoke on Trent
Role and key responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and motivated technician to join our clients operations team, working across a varied fleet of heavy-duty commercial vehicles. This position involves both workshop-based duties and, where required, attending external sites to carry out servicing and repairs.
Primary Duties
Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGV commercial vehicles
Identify faults using diagnostic techniques and carry out effective repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
Perform thorough safety checks and prepare vehicles for statutory testing
Assist with mobile repair assignments and on-location support when needed
Maintain high standards of workmanship while adhering to all safety procedures
Accurately document completed work and update maintenance records
Candidate Profile
Demonstrable background in commercial vehicle maintenance or similar technical role
Strong fault-finding ability across mechanical and electrical systems
Hands-on experience working with heavy vehicles or transport equipment
Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering quality work
