About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and hands-on Production Controller Assistant to support our Production Controller and wider production team.
This is a key role within the factory, helping to ensure production schedules are controlled effectively, deliveries are achieved on time, and the shop floor has clear visibility of job progress. The successful candidate will need excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Control and implement the our clients JCB production schedules, including the JCB Service final check.
- Print JCB Service barcodes and ensure all relevant documentation is available.
- Support the Production Controller with delivery dates and implement schedules for all miscellaneous companies.
- Help the production team understand where their jobs are within the factory.
- Support the Production Controller with Booking Out and EDI processes.
- Assist with process improvement activities across production.
- Maintain and file completed production schedules accurately.
- Support daily route planning for drivers.
- Assist with resolving shop floor enquiries and production queries.
- Support the management and organisation of JCB pallets.
- Assist with Delivery Notes, Purchase Orders and Tickets.
- Support the packing of all non-scheduled deliveries.
- Pack JCB H/P and Service requirements when necessary.
- Pack ISIR samples and stock-loss requirements.
- File part-used job cards for future reference.
- Ensure job cards are correctly marked and updated.
- Provide cover for Leyland truck schedules when required.
- Work closely with the Production Controller and production teams to ensure schedules, deliveries and priorities are communicated effectively.
What we are looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident working in a busy manufacturing or production environment.
Able to prioritise tasks and manage changing deadlines.
A strong communicator who can work effectively with production teams, drivers and management.
Proactive, reliable and willing to take ownership of tasks.
Comfortable working with production schedules, job cards and administrative processes.
A practical, hands-on team player who is happy to support wherever required.
Able to remain calm and focused when dealing with shop floor enquiries or changing priorities.
Experienced in production planning, scheduling or manufacturing administration is desirable, but not essential.
Experience is essential

Standard Hours
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 16:30
Friday: 07:30 13:30
