We are currently recruiting for a skilled and safety-focused 360 Excavator / Grab Operator to join our client at a busy recycling facility in Shepshed (LE12). This is a day-shift position offering stable, full-time hours with the opportunity to secure permanent employment for the right candidate.
Working on-site with recyclable materials, you will be responsible for supporting daily operations through safe and efficient use of heavy plant machinery.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate the 360 Excavator and Grab to move scrap and recyclable materials efficiently
• Move recyclable waste onto hoppers, conveyors, or into designated storage
• Position scrap material for sorting and further processing
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Report any faults or maintenance issues promptly to site supervisors
Requirements
• Previous experience operating 360 Excavators or Grab machinery (essential)
• Valid licence in-house certification accepted
• Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings
• Reliable and punctual with a proactive work attitude
• Comfortable working in an outdoor industrial environment
Desirable
• Previous experience on a recycling or waste site
• Knowledge of safe material handling procedures
