Production Assistant

Telford based

Monday - Friday

0800 - 1700 (40 hours)

Paid breaks

£26,500 to start

If you want to keep busy and have a variety of work and you are happy to be part of a hard working and expanding team, this is the role for you. It will be physicall demanding at times and their will be on the job training for the more technical elements of the job.

Role Overview

Pack and prepare products according to specifications and customer orders.

Ensure all packing activities meet quality standards, safety requirements and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure correct quantities, weights, and labelling of products

Verify batch numbers, expiry dates, and product codes.

Conduct visual quality checks and ensure packaging standards are met.

Follow SOPs and quality management procedures for all packing activities.

Maintain accurate packing records and batch documentation.

Support ISO audit activities and maintain compliance with quality standards.

Maintain safe working practices and report safety hazards immediately.

Keep work area clean, tidy, and hazard-free.

Follow proper spill and emergency procedures.

Follow environmental procedures and support ISO 14001 compliance in packing area.

Move packed products to storage or dispatch areas.

Stack and store products safely.

Operate forklifts or pallet trucks (if certified).

Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment.

Support stock takes and inventory checks.

Complete end-of-shift cleaning and housekeeping.

Record production output and wastage and report deviations to supervisor.

Maintain traceability documentation

To be considered for this role you MUST:

Have good attention to detail and accuracy

Be able to follow written/verbal instructions

Possess good numeracy and literacy

Be fit enough for standing, lifting and manual handling

Be reliable and punctual

Have a flexible approach to working hours (at busier times)

Possess previous manufacturing, packing or warehouse experience

Ideally have a Forklift licence

Be aware ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

Have basic computer skills
