Tooling Engineer

Working hours : Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30
Friday 08:00-12:30

Working for a leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality plastic parts, you will be responsible for ensuring the products produced meet quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring procedures and processes and adhered to.

Job Role/duties:

  • Responsible for leading tooling specification in projects from cradle to grave, including engineering changes
  • Responsible for ensuring that the product design is 1) feasible & 2) optimized, for tooling & manufacture
  • Responsible for the Engineering elements within the detailed MS-Project Plan and in line with the complete project scope, customer milestones & PEP Gateway timing
  • Support the planning & preparation of Gate Way Approvals 1-8 in accordance with PEP/Project timing
  • Responsible for accurate & timely fulfilment of all customer Engineering systems requiring inputs
  • Support PMs in their periodical alignment of the C-BOT with PD via Plan Value Changes
  • Ensure accurate recording of Engineering hours on a weekly basis in the PE file on the NPI Project Drive
  • Correct & accurate use of the TMS system for time recording, absenteeism & holiday planning

To be considered for this role you MUST:

  • Have extensive experience in Automotive Injection Moulding, NPI/NPD and Product Development Engineering
  • Be proficient in viewing CAD in Catia and/or SpinFire
  • Have a good understanding of Moldflow & CAE tools
  • Posses above average skills in PowerPoint, MS-Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Be able to create development timing plans
  • Posses excellent level of detail, numeracy & accuracy
