Job Title: QA Auditor/Assistant
Location: Derby (DE24)
Salary: £26,093 per annum (£12.54 per hour)
Job Type: Temporary (6 months) with potential for a permanent role
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) - occasional weekend work may be required
About the Role:
We are hiring a QA Auditor/Assistant for a well-known brand in the food industry based in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in Quality Assurance, ensuring food safety and product quality through routine checks and collaboration with the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct QA and QC checks, including temperature, weight, and cleaning checks.
• Ensure food safety controls are monitored and maintained.
• Support the investigation of customer complaints and process issues.
• Assist in maintaining food safety certifications (BRC, Red Tractor).
• Work closely with production teams to uphold quality standards.
• Participate in product tastings as part of quality checks.
About You:
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or Quality Assurance is desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRC) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and IT skills.
