NPD Food Technologist
Staffordshire based
Up to £35,000 dependant on experience plus excellent benefits
If you are passionate about developing new taste sensations in both own & client brand produce food and would like to work in an innovative and team spirited environment, this is the NPD Technologist role for you.
Job role / duties
•Manage NPD projects to deadline
•Launch plans as directed by both Manager and / or customer
•Organise and manage trials, shelf life, samples and industrial validations for project
•Ensure close collaboration with colleagues throughout the process from feasibility to launch
•Work with the company Marketing department on ideas for new products
•Organise product showcases in order to present trend findings and ideas to the team
•Provide information to colleagues in order to create launch Quality & Technical documents for the factory
•Conduct market research in order to provide new ideas and trend information to colleagues across Category, Marketing & Commercial Management as well as NPD colleagues
•Ensure products are monitored post launch
•Provide full ands concise feedback to management
To be considered for this role you MUST:
•Have a degree in Food Science/ Technology or similar
•Possess at least 2 years' experience of working as an NPD Technologist
•Understand chilled/short shelf-life products, shelf-life analysis, product sampling, factory trials & product costings
•Have had a lead role in NPD projects from concept to launch
•Possess excellent verbal & written communication & presentation skills
•Have strong IT ability
