Metallurgical Quality Controller

Burslem, ST6

Role and key responsibilities for our Metallurgical Quality Controller:

  • Conduct detailed inspections and tests on metal products, including physical, chemical, and mechanical properties, to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols for metallurgical testing.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Stay updated with advancements in metallurgy and quality control techniques to continuously enhance quality practices.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Minimum Requirements for our Metallurgical Quality Controller:

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. This can be exchanged for experience in some cases.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory and testing equipment for metal analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in performing tests and inspections.
  • Strong understanding of metallurgical testing methods and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to metallurgy and quality control.

Pay rate: £28 - £35k per annum

Working hours:
Monday to Thursday
07:00 - 16:00
Friday
07:00 - 15:00
