What's on Offer from our client?
Competitive Earnings: £17.90 per hour for the first 40 hours worked (£37,232 per annum)
£22.37 per hour for all hours worked over 40 - up to an additional £20k per annum
Additional overnight allowance when staying away when required
Extra payments for company bus driving duties when required

The Role
As a key member of the transport team, you'll be responsible for ensuring goods, equipment, and materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule across a variety of operations.
No two days are exactly the same. You'll work with a range of trailer types and transport requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles across the UK
  • Carry out pre-use vehicle inspections and report defects promptly
  • Ensure full compliance with driver hours regulations and transport legislation
  • Transport goods securely and professionally
  • Complete all transport and delivery documentation accurately
  • Work with various trailer types including:
  • Refrigerated trailers, Curtain-sided trailers, Low loaders, Containers
  • Deliver excellent customer service at collection and delivery points
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Operate forklift trucks and pump trucks where required (training available)
  • Occasionally drive the company's 30-seat passenger bus when operationally required

What our client is Looking For

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
  • Driver CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation and driver compliance requirements
  • Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach
  • Flexibility to meet operational demands
  • Desirable Skills
  • PSV Licence
  • Forklift operating experience
  • Don't currently hold a PSV Licence? No problem. Funded training can be provided for the right candidate who is willing to obtain one.

Working Pattern
This role operates on a rolling shift schedule averaging 55 hours per week:

  • Week 1: 5 days on 1 day off
  • Week 2: 5 days on 2 days off

This pattern provides an average of one full weekend off every twelve days, Occasional overnight stays may be required, with additional allowances paid.
