Ethero is proud to work along side the UK's leading out of town art and craft retailer with 75 stores nationwide and still growing fast. With over 35,000 arts and crafts products in a typical store it's a real Aladdin's Cave. You'll find crafty things you'd normally have to hunt for high and low, as well as a whole host of exciting ideas, products and kits for more than 250 different arts and crafts activities.
Due to the recent expansion of their Distribution Centre, we are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to be based at our site at Burton-on-Trent. The main purpose of the Warehouse Operative role is to safely carry out general warehouse duties as directed and to work as part of the Ethero family.

Shift Details

Days - Working 5 days out of seven. Weekends included on a rotational basis, one week mornings 06:00-14:00 and one week afternoons 14:00-22:00 Rates of pay £8.72 for the first 12 weeks with overtime after 37.5 hours £11.12

Nights - Working 5 days out of seven. Weekends included on Fixed Nights, 22:00-06:00
Rates of pay £9.53 for the first 12 weeks with overtime after 37.5 hours £11.92
After 12 weeks £11.00 Hourly. Overtime after 37.5 Hours £13.40

Duties will include:

Accurate picking, packing and dispatch of a range of products.
Manual handling, staking and palletising of goods, both in-bound and out-bound.
Loading and unloading vehicles, both manually and by using Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE).
Ensuring all duties are carried out safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) having received appropriate training.
Training will be given on the Operating of MHE as appropriate.
Ensuring a clean and safe, hazard free warehouse.
Demonstrate and embrace our clients core values and principles.
To develop productive working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues, managers and all other personnel.
To undertake all duties whilst wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniform provided.
To assist in other duties as reasonably requested
Show attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
Numerical skills.
Good understanding of the English language, both written and verbal.
Be a team player and demonstrate positive thinking, a good work ethic and company loyalty.
